PURPOSE:To manufacture an aluminum foil for packaging having excellent water wettability by overlapping blank materials of Al foils into >=2 layers, and working them in a cold state so that each layer of the foil has the prescribed values respectively in thickness and surface ruggedness. CONSTITUTION:Blank materials of Al foils 5, 5 are overlapped with each other, and are passed through work rolls 3, 3 to roll them in a cold state at a >=25% reduction ratio so that the thickness of each foil is 55-200mu and the roughness at least one suface of it is 1.5-3mu in the rolling direction. Then the ruggedness 2 of 1.5-3mu in the rolling direction are formed in the overlapped surfaces of Al foils 1, 1 after rolling. These Al foils 1, 1 are separately taken up into coils by winding rolls 6, 6. Next, when the coiled Al foil is annealed, a vaporized rolling oil diffuses freely in the width direction of the foil 1 while passing through the spaces formed by the ruggednesses 2, then the oil is easily removed from the whole surface of the foil 1 to obtain a sufficient water wettability. |
