PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the set space of a plate making device do with a small space, to make the replacement and handling of plate materials during plate making work simply and well performable and to prevent the exposure of the unsensitzed plate materials in the plate making device. SOLUTION: The plate feed device B of the plate making device A for supplying the unsensitized plate materials to an exposure device C comprises a dark boxes 1 which house the unsensitized plate materials unpacked in the dark boxes installed in a position separate from the position of the plate making device A, a transporting car which transports the dark boxes 1, a plate material supply device 3 which is installed on the exposure device C side, accepts the dark boxes 1 transported by the transporting car, stows the same in a stacked state and opens the proper dark boxes 1 among the respective dark boxes 1 in the state of shielding light from outside, a shutter device 4 which is disposed between the plate material supply device 3 and the exposure device C and shuts the space of the exposure device C and the space of the plate material supply device 3 to shut the emission and entrance of the light from and to both spaces and a plate material transporting device 5 which is disposed on the exposure device C device and transports the plate materials in the opened dark boxes 1 to the exposure device C side.
