PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce useless collation processing to enhance efficiency for retrieval, by determining discriminatingly a portion necessary to be retrieved from an unnecessary portion out of input sound data. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a separator detecting means 201 for detecting a data consistent with separator information stored in a separator information storing part 207 based on a sound data accumulated in an input sound data accumulating part 206 to divide the sound data in a coinciding point, and for storing addresses of the two separator informations existing in a front side and a rear side of the divided sound information data into a collation-objective sound data storing part 209, and a data length comparing means 202 for calculating a data lenght of the divided sound data based on the addresses of the two separator informations stored in the data storing part 209 so as to confirm the consistency with a resistered data length stored in sound data storing part 208. Collation processing is conducted when the consistency is confirmed as a result of the confirmation by the data length comparing means 202.
