PURPOSE: A heating cable is provided to have high-insulation and high-strength by using a glass fiber as an insulator with metal coated on the glass fiber. CONSTITUTION: A conductor(10) is surrounded by a glass fiber(20), and the glass fiber(20) is coated with a metal sheath(30) made of a copper tube. The glass fiber(20) surround the conductor(10) to prevent leak of current or short circuit of the conductor. The glass fiber does not contain or absorb moisture to avoid any electric breakdown, and is easily manufactured. The glass fiber has better mechanical strength than a mineral insulator to have higher insulation and reliability, and maintains high temperature due to its properties. The metal sheath(30) around the glass fiber(20) protects the conductor(10) and the glass fiber(20) from mechanical, physical and chemical changes from the outside, simplifies the heat transfer and the overall installation of a heating cable.
