PURPOSE: A method for interfacing with intelligent type icons is provided to inform a user of a present service quality so as to make the user predict a servicing situation before connecting or performing a service and to iconize service-capable functions only, so that the user can select the service-capable functions to reduce an unnecessary communication connecting attempt. CONSTITUTION: A controller of a communication terminal displays service-capable functions only on a liquid crystal display(LCD) among many functions. The functions are divided into combinations of text message services, voice services, and image services. The functions are divided into completely-service capable functions, partially-service capable functions, and service-incapable functions on icons under a present communication environment.
