A method for making a hologram label, especially a hologram used as ornament for vehicles, having a more free designability, imparting a feeling of higher grade, and having an originality and a novelty, and a hologram label made by the method. Incoherent light from a light source (23) is applied from the light-shielding mask (22) side to make a partially unexposed hologram photosensitive material (21). A transparent sheet having an embossed pattern is disposed on the object light input side in relation to the material (21). The unexposed portion is exposed to coherent reference light and the object light.
