The circuits uses a common mixer module which may be attuned by use of external components. The system generates and/or detects a radar signal for radar using aperture synthesis, in which the radar is divided into n sub-bands which are processed in parallel in n processing channels. Each channel offers a first mixer for processing the signal in phase, and a second mixer for processing the signal in quadrature. The mixers of the N processing channels are provided in the form of identical mixer modules (DBM), each of which is associated with at least one external element (L) which controls the mixer module. The control is provided to correspond to the sub-band to which the mixer is applied. The mixers may be double symmetrical mixers with switched diodes.
