An ink cartridge (200) for an ink jet printer includes a main body (200h) having a first end (200a), a second end (200b) a lateral side (200c) and a tab (210) extending outward from the lateral side. The tab is offset toward an edge of the lateral side and includes a first portion (210a) proximate to the first end of the main body and a second portion (210b) proximate to the second end of the main body. The second end is larger than the first end.
