The method involves forming at least two mini chip cards(6,7), each contg. a chip, in a standard bearer card (1) with non-penetrative stamping on the edges (12,13) of the respective mini chip cards. The standard bearer card has a preferred break line (4) in a region close to a central plane (5) of the card. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for manufacturing mini chip cards.
