PURPOSE: A selective automatic service apparatus and method based on a voice supplement apparatus are provided to separate a location and region of a transmitter using an additional voice supplement apparatus which inter-works with a switch and to provide an advertisement of a certain region of a corresponding transmitter for thereby inviting various advertisement owners. CONSTITUTION: A voice supplement apparatus(20) checks a location of a transmitter based on a transmitter information from a switch(10). And the apparatus(20) selects an advertisement which will be transmitted based on an inter-work with the switch(10) which requests an information of a transmitter to a telephone office when a local request signal is transmitted, and transmits an information of a corresponding transmitter. The switch(10) includes a local line control circuit and controller(11) for detecting an incoming request signal inputted through the PSTN, an additional apparatus and controller(12) for forming a communication path between the local line control circuit and controller(11) and the additional voice apparatus, and a transmitter's number transfer unit(13).
