PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain panties pleasant to wear, continuously knitted from the both leg sections to the waist section in a bag while making no seam. SOLUTION: The panties 19 have the waist section 13 connected to both leg sections 11 and 12 by weft knitting to form a monolithic structure while making no seam. At the boundary 14 between the waist and leg sections, number of wales at the waist section (d) is at least 6 larger than the total number of wales at the leg sections (2k), i.e., d-2k>=6, wherein the excess stitches 15 corresponding to the excess wales (2e=d-2k) are formed by the yarn 17 for one of the leg sections 11 and 12 (leg section 12 in the description below) at the first knitting course 21 and second knitting course 22 in the waist section 13, having a larger number of wales, to form the crotch section 16 at which the leg sections 11 and 12 intersect each other. The stitch 18, continued from the leg section 12 below the first knitting course 21 and second knitting course 22 in the wale direction W, is formed by the knitting yarn 17 for the leg section 12, in which the excess stitches 15 are formed. The knitting yarn 23 for the other leg section 11 is used to form the stitches in a first knitting course 21 and a second knitting course 22, except for the stitch 18 continued from the leg section 12, and the stitch 25 in a third knitting course 20 in the waist section 13, continued from the above stitches.
