PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a lack of a master in a stencil printer. SOLUTION: The stencil printer comprises a plate cylinder 1 wound with a stencil base sheet engraved on an outer periphery of a flexible peripheral wall and rotatably driven, an ink supply means for supplying an ink to an inner periphery of the cylinder, an inner push roller 10 vertically movably provided in the cylinder to push the wall when printed to externally deform the wall, and a paper cylinder 21 disposed under the plate cylinder to hold a printing sheet between the plate cylinder and the wall externally deformed by the roller to convey the sheet. Each time the sheet is supplied between the plate cylinder and the paper cylinder, the roller is lowered between a sheet top position A of the sheet and a printing starting position B to hold the sheet, the roller is raised between a printing end position C and a sheet end position D, and the sheet is released. Thus, a lack of a master of a lack of the base sheet is prevented at both the positions A and B of the sheet.
