PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compressed product containing a specific 1,6-GPS-enriched mixture or a specific 1,1-GPM-enriched mixture, excellent in shape-retaining property and storage stability and useful for foods, medicines, etc. SOLUTION: This compressed product comprises 6-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-D- sorbitol (hereinafter referred to as 1,6-GPS)-enriched mixture containing 1,6-GPS and 1-O-α-D-glucopyranosyl-D-mannitol (hereinafter referred to as 1,1-GPM) at a ratio of 57 wt.%: 43 wt.% to 99 wt.%: 1 wt.% or 1,1-GPM-enriched mixture containing 1,6-GPS and 1,1-GPM at a ratio of 1 wt.%: 99 wt.% to 43 wt.%: 57 wt.%. The compressed product comprises preferably further a strong sweetener such as cyclamate, aspartame or sucrose, gelatin, fat or substitute for fat. |
