PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism-like fiber-reinforced thermosetting foamed resin molded article being lightweight and with excellent processability, appearance, surface strength, hardness and abrasion resistance and to stably prepare the molded article. SOLUTION: For this molded article 1, while a plurality of reinforcing continuous filaments re bundled together and are made to travel in one direction, on its traveling way, the reinforcing continuous filaments are impregnated with a foamable resin compsn. comprising a urethane resin and a foaming agent with an amt. being enough for foaming of the urethane resin of by a foaming ratio of 2-6.5 in an actually obtd. molded article. Thereafter, the impregnated filaments are drawn into a tunnel-like mold and are continuously foamed and cured to obtain a molded article 1 with a crosssection of the mold and with a skin layer 12 whose specific gravity is 0.1 g/cm3 larger than that of the inner layer 11 and with the whole specific gravity of 0.4-1.2 g/cm3.
