PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer or oligomer product which is electrically conductive, clear enough, and useful for thin films by reacting (a substituted) anthraquinone with (a substituted)diaminoanthracene, i.e., an aromatic diamine. SOLUTION: Preferably, the substitution is conducted so that the resultant product is a homopolymer or a homooligomer or so that the resultant product is a copolymer or a cooligomer. 9,10-Diaminoanthracene is preferable as (a substituted)diaminoanthracene. A compound of the formula is preferable as (a substituted)anthraquinone. In the formula, R and R' are each H, CH3, C2H5, OCH3, OC2H5, OCH2OCH3, CH2OCH2CH2OCH3, methoxyethoxymethyl, aryloxymethyl, phenyl, Cl, Br, CN, NO2, CH2COOR, or CH2NHCOR"; and R" is 1-6C alkyl or (bi)phenyl, The product is useful for clear coating of an electromagnetic shielding window.
