PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively produce a nanoparticle or a nano capsule at a low temp. and atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: A granular Ni/SiO2 (the content of Ni is 50 wt.%) supported on silica by preparing by the sol-gel method is filled in a reaction tube 1 as a catalyst, the catalyst 3 is heated to 700 deg.C by an electric furnace 7 and a gaseous mixture having a mixing ratio (hydrogen):(carbon dioxide) of 2:1 is passed through the reaction tube 1. Carbon dioxide in the gaseous mixture is catalytically hydrogen-reduced by the contact with the catalyst 3 and the nano particle is deposited at a position distant from the catalyst 3.
