PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car suspension jig whereby a car can be safely suspended regardless of the structure of a machine room. SOLUTION: This car suspension jig 10 is removably fixed to the end of each of a pair of car-side guide rails 9. In suspending a car, an operator enters a shaft and gets on a car 5 lifted near a machine room, then passes a first sling rope 1 through a hole 12 in the car hanging jig 10, and attaches a chain block 2 to the terminal part of the first sling rope 1. A second sling rope 3 is hung on an upper car beam 4 and is attached at its terminal part to the hook of the chain block 2. The car 5 is thereby suspended from the ends of the pair of car-side guide rails 9.
