PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make draining work efficient, simplify the putting in and out and clearing of cooking utensils associated therewith and reduce time and labor needed for cooking by attaching a frame to the periphery of a horizontally stretched net, finishing the reverse of the net flatly and providing the frame with a support and handle. SOLUTION: A durable frame 2 is attached to the periphery of a horizontally stretched, fine mesh net 1 in a manner that flattens the reverse thereof. A support plate 4 to support a pan or a bowl is provided on one side of the frame 2. A handle 3 is attached to the frame 2. When such a kitchen draining net is used, as the net 1 is shaped flat and far smaller than a colander in area, it can be cleaned smoothly, wiped easily and does not stain heavily a wiper. After hot water is drained, as the user can move to another process, he is released from the trouble of emptying utensils into a colander and returning to a pan again as previously. In addition, as it is shaped thin and nonbulky, it does not occupy a large space and can be put in and out easily.
