PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seed germination and raising tool capable of adding a new idea in germinating and raising a seed. SOLUTION: This seed germination and raising tool 1 has an external form determined by a sealed container-like outside shell 2 of egg shape, or the like. Seeds 7 wrapped in a water-soluble film 8 and culture soil 9 for germinating and raising the seeds 7 are contained in the interior of the outside shell 2. The outside shell 2 is provided with a hole part (water supply part) 15 for supplying water to the culture soil 9 so as to similarly germinate and raise the seeds 7. In a method for using the seed germination and raising tool 1, it is placed on a saucer 23, or the like, a thin outside shell (predetermined part for opening) 5 at the side of a head part 3 of the outer shell 2 is cracked and water is poured from the cracked opening part. The water-soluble film is dissolved by the poured water, and the seeds 7 are uncovered. Water stored in the saucer 23 is supplied from the hole part 15 formed at the side of a bottom 4 of the outer shell 2 through a filter 13 along the culture soil 9 having high water retention to the seeds 7. When allowed to stand for a prescribed period of time in this state, the seeds 7 are germinated.
