<p>The invention relates to a ceramic material which contains, as a chief constituent, 3CaO.SiO2 with a grain size distribution of D63 </= 20 mu m. The novel ceramic material has extremely short setting times which, for example, can range from 4 to 10 minutes. After setting, the ceramic material exhibits an excellent degree of hardness that can be compared with amalgam and can be easily matched to the natural color of teeth. As a result, this novel ceramic material is particularly suited as a tooth filling material and for other applications in the field of dental medicine.</p> |
