PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid time lag and shock of acceleration by determining the proper basic smoothening fuel injection amount according to fluctuation of the water temperature. SOLUTION: In this fuel injection method, the fuel injection amount in accelerating is increased all at once to the basic smoothening fuel injection amount Qbad in which driving force is started to be applied to a vehicle, the basic smoothening fuel amount Qbad is taken as an initial value, and the fuel injection amount is gradually increased by a specified value. In this case, the basic smoothening fuel injection amount Qbad is increased or decreased according to the water temperature Tw.
