PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a currency mark by only switching the currency mark by a method wherein the currency mark is registered without replacing a ROM in the case where a currency and the currency mark are changed. SOLUTION: This label printer comprises a memory means for storing currency mark information M having a guidance message G1 and a currency pattern C1 corresponding to each of various languages, an indicating means for indicating the guidance message G1 and currency pattern C1 on an indicating section by sequentially reading them from the memory means, a selecting means for selecting the required guidance message G1 or currency pattern C1 of the required currency mark information M when they are indicated, and a printing means for printing the guidance message G1 and currency pattern C1 selected by the selecting means.
