PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block that has hiding holes bored from which small animals, for example, stag beetles hiding in the hole can be readily taken out or picked up without any damage to these small animals. SOLUTION: This block comprises its main body 2 and hiding holes 4 bored in the main body for small animals in which the main body is constituted with a plurality of divided block bodies so that divided block bodies may be readily assembled or disassembled and the wall faces constituting the hiding hole 4 are formed over a plurality of the divided block bodies.
