PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of electric power supply from a cleaner body to a suction device body in a suction device for a vacuum cleaner furnished with a rotating brush rotated by an electric motor and a vacuum cleaner to which the vacuum cleaner suction device is connected. SOLUTION: A rotating brush 19 is provided rotatably in a suction device body 18 so that it may front a suction opening 27 opened in the bottom of the suction device body 18, and the rotating brush 19 has an electric motor 30 driving rotationally the rotating brush 29, a battery 31 driving the electric motor 30, and a power conveyance section conveying the rotation of the electric motor 30 in the interior of a nearly cylindrical brush holder 28, on the outside periphery of which a brush 29 is provided, the battery 31 is held detachably in the brush holder 28, and forms a feeder circuit to the electric motor 30 by being mounted in the brush holder 28.
