PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank negative pressure maintaining device capable of reducing a fuel evaporative gas passing through a fuel tank and leaking from a connecting part between a pipe and the fuel tank. SOLUTION: A gas outlet 10a of a fuel tank 10 and an engine intake pipe 16 are directly connected to each other through a negative pressure control valve 18. The negative control valve 18 is energized so as to be normally closed. A pressure sensor 24 for detecting pressure in the fuel tank 10 is provided, a control unit 22 receives a pressure signal from the pressure sensor 24, adjusts the opening of the negative pressure control valve 18 according to the pressure signal from the pressure sensor 24 in the operation of an engine, and maintains pressure in the fuel tank 10 into a specified negative pressure range.
