PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically advantageously mold a multi-material contact lens which can ensure stable optical properties and a contact lens blank providing it. SOLUTION: In this method for preparation, a bottom mold 12 provided with a molding cavity face 22 for molding a face of one side of a contact lens blank 84 is combined with an intermediate mold 14 and at least one polymer among a plurality of polymers constituting the contact lens blank 84 is molded between these bottom mold 12 and intermediate mold 14 and a recessed place 56 for storing a raw material monomer compsn. liquid providing a different polymer from the molded polymer 54 is formed. In addition, a top mold 16 is combined with the bottom mold 12 instead of the intermediate mold 14 to cover the recessed place 56 for the polymer 54 molded by using the intermediate mold 14 under a condition where the raw material monomer compsn. liquid 58 is stored and the raw material monomer compsn. liquid 58 is polymerized in the recessed place 56. It is possible thereby to integrally laminate and mold a different polymer 60 to the polymer 54 with a recessed place 56.
