<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head of low gravity center made from sintered metal powder by setting a heavy weight part made from sintered powder which contains W powder and Ti powder inside an outer shell made from sintered Ti. SOLUTION: A golf club bead 1 is composed of a face 2, a concave part 4 and a sole 3 in which a heavy weight part 5 is mined and which forms the bottom face. In case of manufacturing such a golf club head 1, an outer shell is made by sintering Ti powder, and, the heavy weight part 5 made by sintering mixed powder that contains W, Ti and Ni. is set inside a hollow space of the outer shell. At that time, the sole 3 and the heavy weighted part 5 are attached through a reactive layer of which thickness is about 50μm on the interface. It is recommended that the composition which constitutes the heavy weight part 5 contains 0.1 to 0.3 weight % of Ti, the rest of that is composed of W and unavoidable impurities, and it contains five to 35 weight % of the metal of which liquid phase can be generated at the sintering temperature.</p> |
