PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a europium-activated alkaline-earth metal fluorohalide-based photostimulable phosphor excellent in both photostimulable luminous quantity and erasing characteristics and to provide a radiation image-conversion panel using the phosphor. SOLUTION: This europium-activated alkaline-earth metal fluorohalide-based phosphor has a basic compositional formula represented by Ba1-xMIIxFBr1-yIy:a1 Eu2+, a2Eu3+ [MII denotes Ca and/or Sr; (x), (y), a1 and a2 are each a numerical value within the range of 0<=x<=0.03, 0<=y<1.0, 0.0001<=(a1+a2 <=0.01 and 8×10-5<=a2/a1<=1×10-2. The radiation image-conversion panel comprises the phosphor.
