PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fatigue strength of a propeller shaft by decreasing difference of radial deformation rates of a helical winding layer on an axially inner end of a hoop winding layer arranged on an end of an FRP-made main body cylinder. SOLUTION: An FRP-made main body cylinder 2 is composed of a helical winding layer 4, a hoop winding layer 5 arranged on an end of an outer peripheral side of the helical winding layer 4, a hoop winding layer 6 arranged on a position corresponding to an axial inner end P of the hoop winding layer 5 as an innermost layer, and a helical winding layer 7 arranged as an outermost layer. Torque applied to a propeller shaft easily influences the hoop winding layers 5, 6, and hardly influences the helical winding layer 4 arranged on an outer peripheral side of an extension portion of the hoop winding layer 6. Difference of deformation rates in a radially inward direction is eliminated between the helical winding layer 4 provided with the hoop winding layer 5, and the helical winding layer 4 without the hoop winding layer 5.
