PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable hook which can eliminate the necessity of holding the hands of the user above his/her head when an object is hung from a position high above the ground, and which can be simply removed. SOLUTION: Forces act upon yokes 2 supporting a swivel hook 3 outward around a main pivot point 5. Upon seating, it is necessary to restrain these forces, and accordingly, a stopper 10 is provided so as to prevent the yokes from opening outward. Further, when the hook is removed from a high position, a control rod 6 which is moved vertically, integral with the stopper 1, is gripped and then pulled down so as to release the stopper laterally of the yokes. Further, when the external forces acting upon the yokes are removed, the yokes are pushed back by the resilient force of a compressed coil spring 8. With this arrangement in which the compressed coil spring used as a restoring means for instantly restoring the yokes to their original positions is interposed between the yokes, the control rod and the stopper are always energized upward so as to abut against each other.
