PURPOSE:To provide a developer for positive photosensitive planographic printing plate which is in a solid state and easily handled so that physical distribution of the developer is made easy and waste material such as packaging material is decreased, and that the developer can be easily dissolved without problem such as precipitation and can be used for development stably for a long time. CONSTITUTION:The developer consists of a developer in a granular state containing alkali metal silicate and a replenishing agent. The developer has 0.2-1.0 [SiO2]/[M] and the replenisher has 0.1-1.0. Both of the developer and replenisher contain at least 20% potassium to the gramm atom of all alkali metal. [SiO2] and [M] are the amts. in terms of gramm atom of SiO2 and alkali metal, respectively, in the unit volume. |
