PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound as an organic compound highly soluble in organic solvents and highly compatible with coloring matters, capable of improving the light resistance of photosensitive coloring matters without substantially impairing their desirable photocharacteristics when applied thereto. SOLUTION: This new compound is a compound of formula I (R1 is H, or an aralkyl, aryl, heterocyclic group or alkyl each optionally having substituent(s); R2 is H, an acyl, ester or sulfonyl, or an aralkyl, aryl or alkyl each optionally having substituent(s)), e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reaction of the corresponding compound of formula II having an aminopyridine skeleton and having R1 and R2 with either p- nitrosophenol or a p-nitrosophenyl alkyl ether. |
