PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make settable a proper photographing condition when executing a stroboscopic photographing. SOLUTION: The electronic camera has an image pick-up means 12 executing an image pick-up operation by using a photo-electric transducing element generating an electric signal corresponding to an incident light amount, an information holding means 14 of an image to hold information of the image corresponding to the image picked-up by the image pick-up means during a light emission for testing to emit lights for testing from a light emitting means 51 of a stroboscope 50, and a displaying part 18 to display the image corresponding to the image information obtained by the light emission for testing held by the information holding means of the image. The image obtained by the light emission for testing can be confirmed with an enough margin after the light emission for testing and a proper photographing condition can be set based on the result of the light emission for testing.
