PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus for inspecting a faulty molding of the hole in a cast molding capable of inspecting blocking degrees of a complicated channel. SOLUTION: The method for inspecting a faulty molding of the hole in a cast molding comprises the steps of emitting an ultrasonic wave from an opening communicating with a nonlinear channel R not formed in the molding, and detecting a direct wave of the ultrasonic wave passed through the channel R with an opening communicating with the adjacent channel R. The apparatus for inspecting the faulty molding of the hole of the molding comprises an oscillator 4 of an ultrasonic sensor 3 provided in one or a plurality of openings communicating with one or a plurality of nonlinear channels R formed in the molding, and a receiver 5 of the sensor 3 provided in one or a plurality of adjacent opening communicating with the one or plurality of the channels R to detect the direct wave of the ultrasonic wave passing through the channels R. |
