PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an automatic redialing function for suitably trying the resending of a message and to quickly and surely transmit the message by providing a mobile telephone set with a resending means for calling a telephone number after judging the existence of the telephone set itself in a communication area and trying the resending of a message and other means. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone set 100 starts decision whether the telephone set 100 itself exists in the communication area of a radio base station or not. Namely a control part 130 decides whether the telephone set 100 exists in the communication area or not, based on the information of electric field intensity received from a high frequency part 110, the identification information of the radio base station from a demodulating part 122, etc. The control part 130 repeats decision whether the telephone set 100 exists in the communication area or not until entrance into the communication area, and when judgment indicating its existence in the communication area is continued for time T1, judges stable existence in the communication area, starts a resending timer, calls a telephone number included in transmission management information stored in a flash ROM 131, and transmits a character message.
