PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the output voltage of a piezoelectric transformer without changing the transformer structure. SOLUTION: A rectifying diode 4 connects a part between a pair of output lines 31, 32 connecting a part between a piezoelectric transformer 1 and a load 5, and only the output voltage in the direction, wherein a reverse bias is applied to the rectifying diode 4, is allowed. Thereby an output voltage to the load 5 is shifted, leaving a change width of the conventional output voltage which is outputted by AC as it is, so that the maximum voltage value is increased.
