PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control the exposure by controlling the flashing of an external flash based on flashing of a built-in flash of a camera main body in a flash control system composed of the camera main body and the remotely controllable external flash. SOLUTION: The built-in flash 16 of the camera 10 is flashed only twice. The interval between two flashings by the flash 16 is made correspond to a 1st aperture scale being an exposure condition, and the 2nd flashing is executed to be matched with the flashing of the external flash 100. The twice flashings of the flash 16 are detected by the external flash 100 to measure the flashing interval. The external flash 100 is flashed in accordance with the 2nd flashing of the external flash 16 at the light quantity corresponding to the flashing interval. |
