The fastening, comprising a system of male hooks and female loops, has the loops formed by parallel or near-parallel rows of stitches (13) with a gap (d) of 0.5 - 3.0 mm between rows. The stitches are made from texturized yarns passing through one surface (12a) of a non-woven material which has its other surface stuck to a backing layer, and are in zigzag or wavy lines. The non-woven material is of thermally bonded fibres with a weight of 20 - 90 g/sq m.
