<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily obtain information on various functions of facsimile equipment, when the user connects a personal computer to the facsimile equipment. SOLUTION: When a user depresses a help key on facsimile equipment (FAX) side after the user installs the data on a help list and an operation program in a storing means on a personal computer(PC) side and connects the PC to the FAX (S1), a connection confirmation command is transmitted from the FAX side and whether the FAX is connected to the PC is discriminated (S2). When the FAX is discriminated as being connected to the PC ('Yes' in S2), whether the PC is actuated is discriminated (S3). When the PC is discriminated as being actuated ('Yes' in S3), the data on the help list stored in the PC-side external storage device are transmitted to the FAX side and outputted to a printer for printing the data on recording paper (S4).</p> |
