PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent communication from being interrupted midway during data transmission reception in direct communication between radio communication terminals (slave sets). SOLUTION: A radio communication terminal analyzes the quantity of data sent to a radio printer (step S901), discriminates whether or not the transmission data can be transmitted within a specified time in a direct communication mode on the basis of the result of analysis (step S902), and conducts processing to set up radio communication in the direct communication mode (step S903) when the radio communication terminal can transmit the data in the direction communication mode (YES in the step S902), and conducts processing to set up radio communication in an extension communication mode (step S904) when the radio communication terminal cannot transmit the data in the direct communication mode (NO in the step S902). Thus, the radio communication terminal can make data communication without the need for frequency use of a resource (channel) for radio communication accommodated by a radio communication unit.
