PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve position accuracy by fixing the stationary side detecting elements of first and second optical detecting means to a supporting substrate. SOLUTION: A device mechanism section comprises a first unit 69 on which a movable optical head 51 is mounted and a second unit on which a movable stage is mounted. The first unit 69 is laminated on the upper part of the second unit. The optical head 51 is supported by a pair of sliding baring 55 arranged apart from each other in its moving direction and a sliding section 56 formed nearly to a U shape and is guided by two guide shafts 53 and 54 mounted parallel on the supporting substrate 52, by which the optical head is moved in an X direction which is the short side direction of a card. The two bearings 55 and the sliding section 56 of nearly the U shape are both formed so as to have a slight gap suppressed to the extent of not hindering their slidability with respect to the shafts 53 and 54. The optical head 51 is moved back and forth by a drive mechanism fixed to the same substrate 52. |
