The display device comprises a cabinet (10) which is enclosed by display glass (2), whereby a light source (12) is located therein. The display glass (2) is made of polarized glass and an optical attenuation film (4) is created on the inner surface of the display glass (2) by glueing a black transparent film on said surface. The display device can take the form of a mirror or a support for a poster according to whether the light source is turned on or off.
