PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize driving of a linear motor by mounting a sensing magnet part on one side face of a member for shielding magnetic flux generated from a plurality of permanent magnets, detecting magnetic flux at the sensing magnet part and controlling current supply to a coil block thereby minimizing positional detection error of a mover. SOLUTION: A sensing magnet part 124 is mounted on a shield member 123 fixed to one side face of a mover 120. On the other hand, a Hall element part 131 for detecting magnetic flux generated from the sensing magnet part 124 is fixed onto a control board 130. The control board 130 is fixed to the vertical inner face of the U-shaped frame 111 of a stator 110. The Hall element part 131 outputs a constant voltage upon detecting magnetic flux, and current supply to a coil block 112 is controlled selectively by a control board 130 based on that voltage. More specifically, position of the mover 120 is detected and moving direction is determined and then the mover 120 is driven by partially exciting the coil block 112 at a place where the mover 120 exists. |
