Acceleration sensor as a tilt sensor in a motor vehicle

The sensor has a moveable carrier body which can be detected by an optoelectronic scanning system. The carrier body is held by securing means such that the carrier body does not deflect until a defined trigger threshold is exceeded in a quasi digital switching behaviour. The carrier body is a pendulum body (2) which is mounted by means of a bearing arrangement (5,7-10) to be forcibly moved in a single vertical plane. The bearing arrangement and/or corresponding bearing section of the carrier body are provided with the securing means for achieving the quasi digital switching.
