The protective cover (1) has a water-repellent outer layer, which completely fills the inner cover space. The space is adapted to the shape of the windscreen wiper (2). The cover has a closeable insertion opening (6) for the wiper at the rear end, which is larger in size to accommodate a wiper arm (4). The cover consists of three layers, e.g. the outer layer is a plastic foil, the middle layer is water-repellent foam, and the inner layer is a plastic foil with smooth surface. The cover is closed by a hook-and-loop tape (8).
