USE OF TRANSGENIC MICE LACKING JUNB EXPRESSION IN THE MYELOID LINEAGE

The use of a transgenic animal lacking JunB expression in the myeloid lineag e as a model for human chronic myeloid leukemia. The ue of JunB deficient myeloid cells for the identification of drugs that inhibit the proliferation of myeloid cells. A method for identifying a compound as a negative regulato r of the inhibitory effect of JunB on cell proliferation, the identified compound being useful as a drug to burst myeloid cell proliferation after chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.
