<p>A surface-modified material and its associated method have been developed for surface modification of high temperature resistance alloys, such as FeCrAl alloys, in order to increase their oxidation resistance. The surface of the alloy is modified by treating it with a fluid, such as water-based colloidal silica dispersion. By this surface modification, the useful life of thin parts, such as wire and foil, has been significantly increased.</p> |
