Hydrophylic electrode for alkaline accumulator and method of preparation

Cathode for alkaline battery comprises current collector; and paste consisting of at least one active material, and hydrophilic agent containing small organic components with at least one hydrophilic group. The components are small cylindrical polyolefin batons with average diameter < 20 mu m, and average length < 50 mu m. Also claimed is method for making the electrode.
