PURPOSE: A device for sorting waste paper is provided to conveniently sort collected newspaper, magazines, and boxes for recycling the newspaper and the magazines. CONSTITUTION: Waste paper is supplied to a collecting hopper(10) for a first conveyer(30) at a lower end of the hopper to transfer to a transferring apparatus(20) at a front direction of the first conveyer. The waste paper is rotated with a driven shaft(26) combined to a main driving shaft by a chain and a chain gear. Transferring pads(22) on the main driving shaft and the driven shaft transfers boxes to an upper unit while transferring magazines and newspaper to a second conveyer(40) through a space between the transferring pads. Therefore, the waste paper is sorted according to type of the paper. Herein, the boxes are bounded by driving force of the transferring pads arranged at an upper portion of the transferring apparatus. The newspaper and the magazines are not bounded for being dropped through the space between the transferring pads.
