The system has an absolute value transmitter determining absolute position, with incremental simulation. Depending upon position, the incremental simulation delivers an incremental signal for position transmission, to use for control. With the occurrence of a start signal (20), the incremental signal (16) is processed. This continues so long as a transmission of the absolute value continues, until an all clear signal (22) indicates the end of the transmission of the absolute position, or a specified time duration has elapsed, beginning with the occurrence of the start signal (20). |
